Area residents Mythesia Mike and Chelse Washington have filed suit against Port Arthur local Diego Velasquez for injuries they received in an automobile collision.
The suit was filed Nov. 17 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the petition, on Oct. 29, 2011, the parties were in an automobile collision at the 3400 block of State Highway 87 in Port Arthur.
The suit does not state how the incident occurred, nor does the suit list a single act of negligence committed by the defendant.
The plaintiffs are suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Houston attorney John Carwile represents them.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
