Lane change mishap ends in litigation

Port Arthur resident Jacori Narcisse is suing North Zulch resident Chase Nesmith for allegedly changing lanes and striking his vehicle.

The suit was filed Nov. 28 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 18, 2010, Narcisse and Nesmith were traveling on Gulway Drive in Port Arthur when Nesmith changed lanes and struck Narcisse's vehicle on the passenger side.

The suit accuses the defendant of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and maintain his lane.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Beaumont attorney Ryan White of Longcar & Associates represents him.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
