A total of 38 new lawsuits were filed in Jefferson County District Court on Jan. 23 by the San Antonio law firm Solis and Smith.
In the complaints filed against insurance companies, the plaintiffs allege the insurer underpaid for damages caused to their properties by Hurricane Ike.
