A servicing company claims it has not been reimbursed more than $10,000 it lent to a Beaumont man.
Systems and Services Technologies filed a lawsuit Jan. 18 in Jefferson County District Court against Alan D. King Sr.
The company alleges it lent King money so he could buy a 1999 Dutchmen trailer on Aug. 2, 1999. However, it claims it still has not received $12,456 from King in money that he owes.
King stopped making payments April 1, according to the complaint.
In its complaint, Systems and Services seeks to obtain either the money it says it is owed or collateral used to secure the loan. It also seeks attorney's fees, pre- and post-judgment interest at the highest legal rate, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Thomas D. Pruyn of Pruyn Law Firm in Houston will be representing it.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
