Five new lawsuits against insurance companies over Hurricane Ike damage claims have been filed in Jefferson County District Court, March 26-April 2, 2012.
The following complaints were filed:
James Wilson Bailey of 2510 Berry Ave. in Groves alleges Farmers Insurance Exchange, Texas Farmers Insurance Company and Fire Insurance Exchange denied his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after a wind and hail storm on June 6, 2011. Yvette Bazile of 3917 13th St. in Port Arthur alleges Fire Insurance Exchange denied her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after a wind and hail storm struck on June 6. James Emerson of 2500 Woodrow Drive in Port Arthur alleges Fire Insurance Exchange denied his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after a wind and hail storm damaged his property on June 6, 2011. Walter Glenn Leysath of 6331 Diamond Ave. in Port Arthur alleges Fire Insurance Exchange denied his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after a wind and hail storm struck on Aug. 23, 2010.
