Failure to yield right of way results in collision, suit

Individually and as next of friend of Nadeyah Frank, Nelva Frank has filed suit against Trina and John Ford for injuries received in an automobile collision.

The suit was filed April 11 in Jefferson Count District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on April 12, 2010, the Franks were injured when Trina, driving a vehicle owned by John, allegedly failed to yield the right of way and struck their vehicle.

The suit does not state where or how the incident occurred and only alleges that Trina negligently caused the collision by failing to keep a proper lookout.

The plaintiffs are suing for their alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Orange attorney David Dies of Dies & Parkhurst represents them.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
