Ally Financial sues over delinquent auto loan

Seeking more than $11,000 from a delinquent auto loan, Ally Financial (GMAC) has filed suit against Orange residents George and Tameka Tolliver.

The suit was filed May 1 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on April 5, 2008, the couple purchased a 2008 Dodge Avenger from JK Chevrolet. The original amount financed by Ally was $18,692.41.

Although Ally has made demand for payment, the defendants have refused to pay the indebtedness owed.

The amount owing is $11,550.20, the suit states.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants breached their contract and is suing for actual damages and all court costs.

Attorney Kimberly Hartmann of the Dallas law firm Beasley, Hightower & Hartmann.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
