While playing in an inflatable moonwalk, Kristen Peterson fractured her vertebrae when the children's attraction collapsed.
On May 9 Peterson filed suit against Bieber Enterprises, doing business as Jumping Jack Moonwalks, in Jefferson County District Court, alleging the company failed to properly set up the moonwalk.
According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 4 Peterson was a guest at a party, of which activities included inflatable playground equipment rented from Jumping Jack Moonwalks.
"While utilizing the inflatable equipment, the equipment collapsed, causing plaintiff to fall and suffer serious and permanent bodily injuries, including fractured vertebrae," the suit alleges.
It also alleges the defendant negligently failed to properly set up the equipment and inspect it for dangerous conditions.
The suit does not state how old Peterson was at the time of the incident.
The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
