Worker sues Miller Environmental Services after vacuum hose falls on him

Liberty County resident Byron Eckhart is suing Miller Environmental Services, alleging a vacuum hose fell on him while on a job.

The suit was filed June 14 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 25, 2011, Eckhart was working at a Total Petrochemical refinery when a large industrial vacuum hose fell on him.

The suit accuses Miller Environmental Services of negligence but does not list a specific act of negligence allegedly committed by the defendant.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages, plus all court costs.

Baytown attorney Scott Lannie represents him.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
