A total of seven new lawsuits were filed in Jefferson County District Court against insurance companies, June 18-29, 2012.
The following complaints were filed:
Phillip and Elizabeth Bell of 1424 Ave. E in Nederland allege Texas Windstorm Insurance Association denied their claim for roof, structural and water damages caused to their property after Hurricane Ike struck on Sept. 13, 2008. The Bells will be represented by Robert C. Lane and Anh Thu N. Dinh of Middagh and Lane in Houston. Jefferson County District Court case number: A192-600.
Randy Dugas alleges State Farm Lloyds refuses to pay him for severe water damages caused to his property after a condo above his flooded. He will be represented by John S. Morgan of Morgan Law Firm in Beaumont. Jefferson County District Court case number: D192-602.
Robin Hollins of 1924 Fifth St. in Port Arthur alleges National Security Fire and Insurance Company denied her claim for roof and water damages caused to her property after a severe wind storm struck on June 25. Javier Martinez of 435 Trinity Ave. in Port Arthur alleges Lloyd's London denied his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after a severe windstorm struck on Aug. 23, 2010. Mario Ochoa of 4330 Sunken Court in Port Arthur alleges Fire Insurance Exchange denied his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after a severe wind and hail storm struck on June 6, 2011. Carlton Teal of 3340 Bennett Road in Beaumont alleges Foremost Lloyds of Texas denied his claim for roof and water damages caused to his property after a wind and hail storm struck on Aug. 27, 2011.
