Alleging she slipped on slop at Floyd's Cajun Seafood and Steakhouse, Nederland local Cherie Owen has filed suit against the restaurant.
The suit was filed July 12 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on March 20 Owen was leaving the Floyd's in Beaumont with her co-workers when she "slipped and fell on slippery slop" on the concrete sidewalk.
Owen alleges the restaurant owed her a duty to maintain its premises.
She is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain and disfigurement, plus all court costs.
Beaumont attorney Dan Ducote Jr. of Moore Landrey represents her.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 6oth District Court, is assigned to the case.
