A woman has filed suit against the drivers who she claims struck her vehicle.
Christie Asay claims she was driving on June 2 when defendants Patrick Galles and Eric Kutseherousky caused a collision.
Because of the accident, Asay experienced physical pain, suffering, mental anguish and physical impairment and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint filed July 18 in Jefferson County District Court. In addition, she lost wages, the complaint says.
The defendants negligently failed to control their speed, failed to maintain a proper lookout, failed to timely apply their brakes, failed to drive in a safe manner and failed to control their vehicle, Asay claims.
In her complaint, Asay is seeking an unspecified judgment, plus pre- and post-judgment interest at the legal rate, costs and other relief the court deems just.
Jon B. Burmeister of Moore Landrey in Beaumont will be representing her.
The case has been assigned to Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court.
