CACH LLC has filed suit against Beaumont resident Muhammad Nazir, claiming the man has defaulted on his credit account and now owes more than $12,000.

The suit was filed Oct. 19 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the suit, Bank of America advanced dollars to Nazir on a credit card account.

Court records show that Nazir stopped making payments on his account. On Dec. 25, 2011, the plaintiff sent a letter demanding payment, but despite the demand no payment has been made.

“As of Sept. 20, 2012, there continues to be owed by defendant to the plaintiff an unpaid balance of $8,492.91 and accrued interest of $3,927.21,” the suit states. “Interest continues to accrue to the account.”

The plaintiff seeks to recover the balance of the account, interest and court costs.

Carrollton attorney Michael Scott represents it.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
