A final judgment has been entered in a suit filed by Mary Daleo, who sued H-E-B Grocery Co. alleging she slipped while shopping.
As previously reported, the suit was filed May 6, 2011, in Jefferson County District Court.
Court records show the final judgment was entered on April 16 and states that the plaintiff take nothing from the defendant.
According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred on Sept. 11, 2010, during normal business hours.
However, the suit does not state the location of the H-E-B where the incident occurred. Nor does the suit state what Daleo slipped in or what she was doing at the time of the incident.
The suit accused H-E-B of negligently failing to inspect and maintain its premises and warn shoppers of the danger.
Daleo was suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Attorney Mitchell Toups of the Beaumont law firm Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell represented her.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, presided over the case.
