Alleging he suffered nerve damage after this finger was smashed, David Goudeau has filed suit against Kansas City Southern Railway.
Under the Federal Employer’s Liability Act, the suit was filed May 10 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 14 Goudeau was working for KCSR when a pin lifter came out, smashing his finger between the pin lifter and frame of an engine.
The injury resulted in nerve damage.
The suit accuses KCSR of negligently failing to provide a safe place to work, supervision, training and adequate manpower.
In an amount not to exceed $500,000, the plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages.
