Suit alleges Gold Club bouncers injured patron

Alleging bouncers roughed him up, Brandon Vance has filed suit against Fannett Entertainment, doing business as the Gold Club. 

The suit was filed May 6 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Nov. 27, 2012, Vance was a patron at the Gold Club when was assaulted by two unidentified bouncers and a manager.

The suit accuses the employees of intentionally and recklessly inflicting bodily injury but does not state what Vance was doing at the time to warrant the attention of the establishment’s staff.

The suit further accuses the Gold Club on negligently failing to handle minor disputes without assaulting customers.

The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages.

Attorney B. Adam Terrell of Weller, Green, Toups and Terrell in Beaumont represents the plaintiff.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, is assigned to the case.
