A Louisiana man claims he sustained injuries when a driver rear-ended his vehicle.
Nazir Muhommad filed a lawsuit May 17 in Jefferson County District Court against Charles Wayne Deville.
In his complaint, Muhommad alleges he drove on Oct. 26, 2011, in Jefferson County when Deville rear-ended his vehicle.
Because of the collision, Muhommad incurred medical costs, lost his earning capacity, suffered pain and mental anguish and endured physical disfigurement and physical impairment, according to the complaint.
Muhommad blames Deville for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to timely apply his brakes to avoid a collision, drove too fast and failed to turn to avoid a collision.
In his complaint, Muhommad seeks actual damages, plus post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.
S. Aftab Sharif of Sharif and Associates in Houston will be representing him.
Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
