Seeking more than $100,000 in damages, Craig Small has filed suit against Coburn Supply and one of its employees, Kyle Carlos, who allegedly caused an automobile collision.
The suit was filed May 20 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Jan. 18, Small was traveling on FM 365 near the U.S. 69 intersection when Carlos allegedly failed to control his vehicle, causing the collision.
Carlos was in the course and scope of his employment with Coburn Supply at the time of the incident.
The suit accuses Carlos of negligently failing to maintain a proper lookout and control his rate of speed.
Coburn Supply is faulted with negligent entrustment.
The plaintiff is suing for his alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages.
Beaumont attorney Ryan Schaper of the Provost Umphrey Law Firm represents him.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
