CACH sues Port Arthur couple to recover $11K credit card debt

CACH LLC has filed suit against Port Arthur residents Wilmer and Maricela Garcia, claiming the defendants have defaulted on a credit account and now owe more than $11,000.

The suit was filed June 19 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the suit, the defendants were advanced dollars on a credit card account.

Court records show that the defendants stopped making payments on their account. On March 6, the plaintiff sent a letter demanding payment, but despite the demand no payment has been made.

“As of May 29, 2013, there continues to be owed by defendant to the plaintiff an unpaid balance of … $11,274.15,” the suit states. “Interest continues to accrue to the account.”

The plaintiff seeks to recover the balance of the account, interest and court costs.

Carrollton attorney Michael Scott represents it.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
