CACH sues PA man to recover $16K credit card debt

CACH LLC has filed suit against Port Arthur resident Michael Scott, claiming the defendant has defaulted on a credit account and now owe more than $16,000.

The suit was filed July 19 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the suit, the defendant was advanced dollars on a credit card account.

Court records show that the defendant stopped making payments on his account. On March 6, the plaintiff sent a letter demanding payment, but despite the demand no payment has been made.

“As of June 24, 2013, there continues to be owed by defendant to the plaintiff an unpaid balance of … $16,900.96,” the suit states. “Interest continues to accrue to the account.”

The plaintiff seeks to recover the balance of the account, interest and court costs.

Carrollton attorney Michael Scott represents it.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, is assigned to the case.
