Beaumont local Beryl Kibodeaux has filed a trip and fall lawsuit against a Beaumont gas station.
The suit was filed July 18 in Jefferson County District Court and also names Ijhan Buisness, Racetrac Petroleum and Mountainprize as defendants.
According to the lawsuit, on July 21, 2011, the plaintiff tripped over cracked concrete in the parking lot of the Raceway gas station and convenience store off of College Street in Beaumont.
The suit accuses the defendants of negligently failing to maintain the parking lot in a safe condition and warn customers of the dangers.
On top of actual damages, the plaintiff is suing for his/her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment, disfigurement and lost wages, plus all court costs.
Beaumont attorney Ryan Scott represents the plaintiff.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
