Pleasure Island HOA seeks foreclosure over past due assessments

Alleging Deborah Dommert owes more than $2,000 in past due assessments, the Pleasure Island Mariner’s Cove Homeowners Association has filed an application to foreclose on her home.

The association filed the application permitting foreclosure on homeowner’s association lien on July 25 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the application, Dommert resides on Northwind in Port Arthur.

“The type if lien sought to be foreclosed is a homeowner’s association lien for past due assessments,” the application states. “As of October 1, 2012, the amount required to cure the default was $2,498.10.”

The homeowner’s association is seeking a court order to allow the property to be sold at a public auction.

Attorney Lance P. Bradley of McPherson, Hughes, Bradley, Wimberley, Steele and Chatelain in Port Arthur represents the plaintiff.

Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. B194-563
