Summit Global Contractors has answered a suit brought by Wells Supply, which seeks payment for a past due invoice of more than $330,000.

As previously reported, the suit was filed April 29 in Jefferson County District Court.

Court records show that on June 3, SGC answered the suit, asserting a general denial and demanding strict proof of the plaintiff’s allegations.

The answer further requests that the plaintiff take nothing and SGC recover all costs.

According to the lawsuit, between Sept. 14 and Oct. 17, 2012, Wells Supply sold various materials to Summit.

“Well’s delivered the materials and billed Summit,” the suit states. “The total balance of the current open invoices … is $330,800.92.”

The suit accuses the defendant of breaching its contract.

The plaintiff is suing for economic damages and attorney’s fees.

Attorney Jeffrey Roebuck of Roebuck, Thomas, Roebuck & Adams represents the plaintiff.

Beaumont attorney Christopher Sachitano represents the defendant.

Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
