One new lawsuit was filed in Jefferson County District Court against an insurance company on Aug. 5 through Aug. 9.
The following complaint was filed:
• Marcus Castille of 3235 North Willowwood Lane in Beaumont alleges State Farm Lloyds denied his claim for damages caused to his property after a wind storm blew through on Dec. 25, 2012.
During the storm, a tree fell on Castille’s roof, according to the complaint.
Defendants Chad Langston and Steve Leal inspected the property but minimized the damages Castille claims he was owed, the suit states.
