Beaumont local Quala Culberson has filed a slip and fall lawsuit against H.E. Butt Grocery, alleging she slipped in a puddle while shopping.
The suit was filed Aug. 23 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Sept. 23, 2012, Culberson was shopping at the Beaumont H-E-B. As she walked down the chips and snacks aisle, she claims she slipped and fell in liquid.
The suit alleges the defendant was negligent in failing to discover and eliminate the dangerous condition.
The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages.
She is represented by Beaumont attorney Brett Thomas of Roebuck, Thomas, Roebuck & Adams.
Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
