Arguing that the appraised value of its property excessively exceeds the previous year’s appraised value, Dillard’s Properties has filed suit against the Jefferson County Appraisal District.
The suit was filed Oct. 2 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, the appraised value of the Dillard’s property in question exceeds the January 2012 correct value.
Dillard’s is asking the court to correct the value of the property and reduce the appraised value.
Dillard’s is also seeking an award of attorney’s fees.
The company is represented by John Brusniak Jr., attorney for the Ryan Law Firm in Dallas.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, is assigned to the case.
