Wrangler Wireline sued for driver’s collision

An automobile collision suit has been brought against Wrangler Wireline, alleging the company negligently entrusted a vehicle to the man who caused the wreck.

Maria Esquivel, individually and as next of friend of Joel Gallardo, filed the suit against the company and Robert Lee on Oct. 3 in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 17, 2011, the plaintiffs were traveling west on a Harris County service road when Lee made an illegal left turn and struck their vehicle.

The suit asserts Wrangler owned the vehicle Lee was driving and blames the company for negligently entrusting the vehicle to him.

The suit further accuses Lee of negligently failing to keep a proper lookout and obey traffic laws.

The plaintiffs are suing for past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, and lost wages.

Houston attorney Mark Murray of Stevenson & Murray represents the plaintiffs.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.
