A Beaumont man is suing after he was involved in an automobile accident.

Robert F. Shivers filed a lawsuit Oct. 22 against Mayra Chatlin in the District Court of Jefferson County 60th judicial district, citing negligence. 

According to the complaint, on June 15, 2012, Shivers and Chatlin were involved in a motor vehicle collision on Highway 69 North. The plaintiff states the defendant failed to slow with traffic and struck his vehicle.

Shivers is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. He is being represented in the case by attorney Thomas O. Moses.
