GALVESTON - Motorist Rick Karpiuk has filed a lawsuit in response to a two-vehicle accident which occurred nine months ago on Seawall Boulevard in Galveston.
In recent court papers filed Dec. 20 in Galveston County Court at Law No. 1, Karpiuk faults Texas City resident Anthony Tyronne Hall for the March 2 collision near the intersection of 61st Street and Seawall.
While the original petition does not elaborate on the exact circumstances that led to the subject wreck, it claims Hall was negligent to where he "failed to maintain a proper lookout" and collided with the plaintiff.
Galveston local Julian Lester is named a defendant in the case since the vehicle allegedly driven by Hall belonged to him.
Karpiuk further shows the accident inflicted nearly $14,000 in damages to his vehicle, adding he was out approximately $800 by the loss of its use.
He is represented by attorney Daniel J. Peters of Dickman Law Offices, PLLC in Dallas.
The litigation has been assigned to Galveston County Court-at-Law No. 1 Judge John Grady.
