Area resident Jamie Green has filed suit against Beaumont Municipal Transit and one of its drivers, Gregory Kemp, alleging the man caused an automobile collision.
The suit was filed Dec. 27 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, on Feb. 2, 2012, Green was traveling in a motor vehicle in Jefferson County when a vehicle owned by BMT and being driven by Kemp struck her vehicle.
The suit does not state in specifics how or where the incident occurred.
The suit does, however, accuse the defendants of negligence.
The plaintiff is suing for her alleged past and future medical expenses, mental anguish, pain, impairment and lost wages, plus all court costs.
She is represented by Curtis Leister, attorney for the Beaumont law firm Reaud, Morgan & Quinn.
Judge Bob Wortham, 58th District Court, is assigned to the case.
