Depositions sought in potential slip and fall lawsuit

While walking in a parking lot at Uncle Bob’s Self Storage, Lisa Wright claims she slipped in a puddle and fell.

On Dec. 23 Wright filed a petition to take depositions before suit against Sovran Acquisition LP, doing business as Uncle Bob’s Self Storage #343, in Jefferson County District Court.

According to the petition, on Oct. 6, 2012, Wright slipped in a puddle and fell in the parking lot of the company’s premises.

Wright seeks the depositions of any contractors that worked on the air conditioner for the building and drainage system that led to water pooling in the parking lot.

She is represented by Beaumont attorney Chris Portner of Portner Bond.

Judge Milton Shuffield, 136th District Court, is assigned to the case.

Case No. D195-082
