A Brazoria County man is suing over claims a rehabilitation and nursing home's negligence caused serious injuries.

Terence R. Lynch filed a lawsuit on Jan. 24 in the Galveston County District Court against Linbar Enterprises LLC, doing business as Tuscany Village, citing negligence.

The suit states on April 30, 2012, Lynch was admitted to Tuscany Village, Pearland, for rehabilitation after a right hip replacement surgery.

Lynch alleges an employee of the defendant did not properly care for him, resulting in a fractured right femur which required surgery. The suit also claims that as a result of the negligent care he had to stay longer at the defendant's facility.

Lynch is seeking damages, interest and court costs.

The plaintiff is being represented by David L. Thornton and D. Michael Henderson Jr. of the Law Offices of David L. Thornton.
