Layfield

A Jefferson County construction company is suing a former employee, claiming he stole money from the company on multiple occasions.

Burrow Global Contruction LLC filed a lawsuit Jan. 29 in the Jefferson County District Court against Larry D. Robison, citing fraud and breach of duties.

The plaintiff claims that in the summer of 2013 they were made aware that Robison, their senior manager, was reporting false financial information, resulting in the plaintiff paying unearned bonuses. According to the brief, Robison admitted to these actions and was terminated from the company.

Burrow Global Construction is seeking punitive damages, past compensation paid to the defendant, attorney's fees and court costs.

They are being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney L. Dewayne Layfield of Law Office of L. DeWayne Layfield.

The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.
