A man is suing after suffering permanent damage during an eye surgery.
John Jack R. Beatty filed a lawsuit Jan. 31 in the Jefferson County District Court against Anesthesia Associates and Dr. Robert K. O'Bryan, citing medical negligence.
According to the complaint on Nov. 21, 2011, Beatty underwent eye surgery during which Dr. O'Bryan, working for Anesthesia Associates, improperly injected anesthetic into Beatty's left eye, which resulted in a permanent loss of vision.
Beatty is seeking an amount in damages to be determined by the court.
He is being represented in the case by attorney Craig Lewis of The Lewis Law Firm.
The case has been assigned to Judge Gary Sanderson, 60th District Court.
