A Beaumont man is suing a Lumberton driver for injuries sustained in a vehicle crash.
Leonard Raven Jr. filed a lawsuit Jan. 30 in the Jefferson County District Court against Lance Derrik McNeer citing negligence.
The suit alleges Raven was driving his truck north in the 8000 block of U.S. Highway 69 in Beaumont on Oct. 5, when McNeer collided with the rear of this truck at the bottom of the bridge near Lawrence Drive.
Raven claims the incident left him injured and alleges McNeer’s speed and recklessness amounts to negligence.
Raven is seeking between $100,000 and $200,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court determines.
He is being represented by E. Hart Green of Weller, Green, Toups & Terrell LLP.
