Sarah Sanchez and Dan Sanchez are suing Lucia Hernandez, Nicholas Hernandez and Joey Gonzales over property the defendants allegedly coerced the Sanchezs into giving them.
The Sanchezs filed suit in the Galveston District Court on Feb. 12, and want certain pieces of property in defendants' possession returned.
According to the complaint, the defendants knew Sarah Sanchez was going to receive a large amount of money upon her 18th birthday as a result of her mother's death.
Sarah Sanchez claims she was manipulated by the defendants and coerced into giving them $20,000 for a fraudulent investment scheme. Additionally, the defendants allegedly talked her into buying a new Honda and putting it in the name of Lucia Hernandez.
Sanchez claims she eventually reached out to her father who requested the defendants return the money and car, to no avail. The defendants refused to return any of Sanchez's property, according to the suit.
Sarah Sanchez wants her property returned and is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.
She is being represented by attorney Daniel C. Pappas.
