Stafford resident sues after vehicle collision

A passenger is suing after sustaining injuries in an automobile collision.

Shaun Nicholas Maley filed a lawsuit Feb. 27 in the Galveston County Court against Renee Amber Ortiz and Kelsie Nicole Willis, citing negligence.

The lawsuit states on Feb. 29, 2012, Maley was a passenger in Willis' vehicle traveling southbound near the 3100 block of Interstate 45 when Ortiz allegedly failed to control the speed of her vehicle and collided with the rear of the vehicle being driven by Willis.

The plaintiff claims he sustained injuries as a result of the accident. According to the complaint, Willis failed to properly divert her vehicle to prevent many of plaintiff’s injuries.

Maley is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. The plaintiff is being represented in the case by Robert S. Clark Sr. PC.
