Plano car accident results in injuries, lawsuit

A car accident in Plano, which left one driver injured, results in lawsuit.

Juan Hernandez filed suit in the U.S. Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division, on Feb. 26. His lawsuit is against Natalie Brooke Givens, who allegedly caused a car collision between the parties.

Hernandez, a resident of Mexico, says on March 17, 2012, he was involved in a car accident in Plano because of Givens' alleged negligence. Hernandez says he was going through the intersection of Independence Parkway and State Highway 121 when Givens blew a red light and hit him.

Hernandez claims Givens was ticketed by police for running the red light. He also says he sustained injuries in the collision, which resulted in over $40,000 worth of medical bills.

Hernandez is seeking an undisclosed amount in damages.

He is being represented by Houston attorney Mark B. Blackburn of Erskine and Blackburn LLP.
