Galveston man seeks $1M in collision suit against A&M System

A Galveston County resident is suing, alleging he was injured in a vehicle collision.


Gary Spiller filed a lawsuit March 10 in the Galveston County Court against Karlsen Bruner and Texas A&M University System, citing negligence, negligent entrustment, respondeat superior and employer negligence. 




The complaint states on July 27, 2012, Spiller was driving southbound on 32nd Street in Galveston when Bruner failed to yield and struck the plaintiff's vehicle, causing injuries.


Bruner was working in the course and scope of his employment with Texas A&M University System when the accident occurred, according to the complaint.


Spiller is seeking up to $1 million in damages.


The plaintiff is being represented in the case by attorney Garnett "Brit" E. Hendrix Jr. of Fears & Nachawati Law Firm in Dallas.
