Wells Fargo Bank files an order for foreclosure on Beaumont house

A Jefferson County loan company filed an order for foreclosure on a property in the city of Beaumont.

Wells Fargo Financial Texas filed a lawsuit on March 17 in the Jefferson County District Court against Carolyn Barnes, Daniel Barnes, Michael Barnes, Willie C. Barnes, Karl Barnes, Dr. Nathaniel Barnes, Dr. Lorraine Barnes, Andrea Ardoin, Tacquet Barnes-Turner and the unknown heirs of Willie Anthony Barnes, citing failure to pay a home equity loan.

The plaintiff alleges that on May 24, 2007, they entered into an agreement with Willie Anthony Barnes and Carolyn Barnes to provide a home equity loan on a property they owned, at 1672 Pope St. in Beaumont.

The suit alleges Willie Anthony Barnes died on Jan. 11, 2012, so the claim was filed against the heirs of the property, but no personal liability is sought against them. The defendant allegedly failed to pay the amount due on the loan. According to the suit, as of July 2011 the defendant owes $70,340.25, plus attorney fees and court costs.

The plaintiff is seeking foreclosure on the property and other relief agreed on by the court.

The plaintiff is being represented in the case by Addison attorney Jason A. LeBoeuf of Barrett Daffin Frappier Turner and Engel LLP.
