Loan company filed foreclosure on a Port Arthur home

A loan company has filed an order for foreclosure on a property in the city of Port Arthur.


Nationstar Mortgage LLC, formerly known as Centex Home Equity Co. LLC, filed an order for foreclosure on March 20 in the Jefferson County District Court for property in Port Arthur. Respondents are Jesus A. Torres and Idalia Torres. 

The plaintiff alleges a loan agreement with the defendants for the property at 3840 Sixth Ave., in Port Arthur, has not received any payment since May 14. The defendants owe $5,287.91 for back payments, or $39,646.61 to pay off the lien.

The plaintiff is seeking foreclosure on the property.

The plaintiff is being represented in the case by Houston attorneys Kelly J. Harvey, Teresa L. Cannady and Mia D. Searles of Harvey Law Group.
