City of Galveston sued for negligent street maintenance by injured motorcyclist

A Harris County man is suing over claims he lost control of his motorcycle due to streets in disrepair.


Charles Bolton filed a lawsuit March 27 in the Galveston County District Court against the city of Galveston, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Bolton was riding his motorcycle on 25th Street in Galveston on Oct. 31, when he lost control due to the disrepair of the street and trolley tracks and was seriously injured.

Bolton is seeking more than $200,000 in damages.

He is being represented in the case by attorney Jeffrey N. Todd of The Law Firm of Alton C. Todd.
