Two Texas residents sued after defaulting on car payments

A Delaware company is suing over claims two Texas residents have defaulted on installment payments for the purchase of a GMC vehicle.

Ally Financial Inc. filed a lawsuit March 25 in the Jefferson County District Court against Barbara and Donald Washington, citing breach of contract.

According to the complaint, on July 23, 2011, the Washingtons purchased a GMC vehicle from Beck & Masten by installment sales contract which was subsequently assigned to Ally Financial.

Ally says the Washingtons have defaulted and still owe over $29,000.

Ally Financial is seeking the balance in addition to attorney's fees.

It is being represented in the case by attorney Kimberly P. Harris of Beasley Hightower & Harris PC in Dallas.
