Man sues after collision with drunk driver on Highway 69

A Jefferson County man is suing over claims he was injured in a collision with a drunk driver.


Luis Cano Morales filed a lawsuit April 2 in the Jefferson County District Court against Marcus James Ramsey and Dung Tran, citing negligence. 

According to the complaint, Morales was traveling southbound on Highway 69 on June 22, when Ramsey struck his vehicle, injuring the plaintiff. Ramsey was cited for an unsafe lane change and driving while intoxicated, according to the suit.

Morales is seeking damages, loss of earnings and medical expenses.

He is being represented in the case by attorneys Jennifer Job Seale, James E. Payne and Ronnie Turner Jr. of Provost Umphrey Law Firm L.L.P.
