The state of Texas is seeking the forfeiture of more than $4,000 as contraband from a Jefferson County man.
The state of Texas filed a notice of seizure and intention to forfeit March 27 in the Jefferson County District Court against Adam Cameron Dixon for $4,050.
According to the complaint on March 18, police searched Dixon's residence under a search warrant and found a scale, beakers with white residue, a gun, and what was believed to be crack cocaine and marijuana.
Police say when he was arrested, $4,050 was found on his person, which is believed to be from illegal activity and was confiscated.
The state is seeking the forfeiture of the $4,000 as contraband.
They are being represented in the case by assistant criminal district attorney Steven L. Wiggins.
