A Galveston County resident is suing after sustaining injuries in an automobile accident.
Blake A. Painter filed a lawsuit April 9 in the Galveston County Court against Chanda R. Mckinney, citing negligence.
The complaint claims Painter was driving southbound in the far left turning lane of the 1100 block of State Highway 146 in Galveston County on Aug. 14, 2012, when the defendant allegedly struck the plaintiff's automobile, causing injuries.
Painter alleges Mckinney failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to control her automobile, failed to pay attention and failed to yield.
Painter is seeking monetary relief of $100,000 or less.
The plaintiff is being represented in the case by attorneys Scott G. Robelen and William A. Forteith.
