Wal-Mart sued after woman trips over beer left in aisle

A Kaufman County woman is suing over claims she was injured on the premises of a Wal-Mart.


Jennifer M. Wells filed a lawsuit April 15 in the Galveston County District Court against Wal-Mart Stores Texas LLC, citing negligence.

According to the complaint, Wells was at the Wal-Mart on West El Dorado Boulevard in Friendswood on Sept. 2, when she allegedly slipped on beer left in the aisle, fell and was injured.

Wal-Mart is accused of failing to maintain its premises.

Wells is seeking damages up to $100,000.

She is being represented in the case by attorney Jonathan Frederick of Ben Abbott P.C.
