Commercial landlord sues business over unpaid rent

A commercial real estate company is suing a business claiming it failed to pay rent.

786 Investments Inc. filed a lawsuit April 9 in the Galveston County Civil Court against Bushi Ban International – League City L.L.C. and Zuhair Salem Hillail, citing breach of contract.

The lawsuit states Bushi Ban entered into a contract on Nov. 9, 2007, to lease property at 3311 FM 518, Suite 100, League City. The lease was to last until November 2014.

The business stopped paying rent in August 2013 and owes $42,714, the complaint states. Bushi Ban was evicted for non-payment, according to the complaint.

786 Investments is seeking $42,714 plus court costs.
