A pedestrian is suing a driver claiming he was struck by the driver's vehicle.
Lewis Stevens Jr. filed a lawsuit April 9 in the Galveston District Court against William King Jr., citing negligence.
The lawsuit claims Stevens was getting off a bus on April 12, 2012, around the 2400 block of Winnie Street and near the intersection of 25th Street when King backed his vehicle into him, forcing him to fall to the ground.
Stevens has injuries to his wrist, hips, knees and shoulders and is left with disability and medical bills, the complaint states.
Stevens is seeking damages to cover medical expenses, pre and post-judgment interest and court costs.
He is being represented by Galveston attorney Gerson D. Bloom.
