Man sues USAA over damages in traffic accident

A man is suing an insurance company on claims they didn’t pay enough in a settlement.

Charles Kilgore Jr. filed a a lawsuit April 11 in Galveston County Court against the United States Automobile Associations, also known as USAA Casualty Insurance, citing an underinsurance issue. 

The lawsuit states that Kilgore was traveling west on 1900 E. FM 646 when he was struck by another vehicle and pushed into the oncoming lane of traffic when a third vehicle rear-ended it on April 21, 2012.

Kilgore sustained serious injuries and damage to his vehicle, the complaint states.

Kilgore is seeking less than $100,000 in damages.

He is represented by Jack D. Ewing of the Ewing Law Firm in Texas City.
